NEW KBSA BOARD MEMBER - JANUARY 2012
Steve Cowburn of Countess Interiors, Bamber Bridge, Preston has taken over from Richard Sharp in the North Midlands/North West Region.
Steve has been a member for 18 years, and a thumbnail sketch follows:
Steve was sixteen when he started his working life as an apprentice joiner and for 10 years gathered valuable experience in the workshop and out on site. From 1983 Steve spent a further six years fitting kitchens and bedrooms for large home improvement retailers, having started his own installation company building up to a team of twenty contractors working throughout the North West region.
Countess Interiors was established in 1992, manufacturing bespoke kitchen & bedroom furniture in its own factory adjacent to the large showroom at Bamber Bridge in Preston. Expansion soon followed into the bathroom and home office market, with the opening of a further design studio and bathroom showroom boasting working saunas and steam displays.
Currently with ten employees, Countess Kitchens & Bedrooms Ltd produce made to measure cabinets for both trade and retail customers alike and has developed an enviable reputation throughout Lancashire.
“Our latest venture is to further increase our sales through the latest Countess website, selling its quality furniture to installers nationwide” says Steve “Hopefully, with the continued support from the KBSA and other associations; we will continue to grow from strength to strength”
